Retiree & Emeriti Center

The UC Santa Cruz Retiree & Emeriti Center recognizes the importance of retired staff and faculty as lifelong members of the UC Santa Cruz community. The Center’s primary goal is to be a resource for all retirees while keeping them engaged with the university. Retiree & Emeriti Center's mission

The mission of the Retiree & Emeriti Center is to provide a resource for faculty and staff of UC Santa Cruz as they transition to and engage in retirement.  The Center also serves as an advocate for retirees and emeriti and assists in maintaining their connection to the University.  This mission is achieved in collaboration with the UCSC Emeriti and Retirees’ Associations by providing information, programs and services that contribute to the continued involvement, well-being, and creativity of all retired faculty, staff, and their families.

In Memoriam

The UC Santa Cruz Retiree & Emeriti Center receives notification of retired staff and emeriti faculty from the UC Office of the President upon passing. The names of deceased retirees are shared with the UC Santa Cruz Retirees Association and the UC Santa Cruz Emeriti Association for the purpose of honoring these members of our campus community through an In Memoriam or condolence card to their spouse or family. Individuals or their families may inform the Retiree & Emeriti Center if they choose to opt-out of having a name shared prior to the time an announcement is made.

If you wish to opt-out of having a name shared with the campus community, please notify the Retiree & Emeriti Center via email.
